Mr. Hewitt joins GMI following seven years at Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), a division of MSCI, Inc. and the world’s largest corporate governance advisory firm, where he served as an Executive Director and Senior Governance Research Analyst, with a specific focus on executive compensation analysis. While at ISS, Gary also helped to develop a number of models, policies and processes that drove ISS’ analytical framework and governance ratings product. Prior to this, Mr. Hewitt spent six years with Watson Wyatt where he managed a team of researchers, overseeing methodology, technology and client delivery components of benefits valuation and benchmarking.
