    [TodayIR] GCL-POLY ENERGY: GCL-Poly Honored APVIA Award for Industrial
Contribution Zhu Gongshan Granted the Award to Prof. Martin Green for Talents
                                 Cultivation

At the awarding ceremony of the 2013 PV Asia Pacific Conference held in the
afternoon of 29 October, GCL-Poly was honored the PAVIA Award for Industrial
Contribution. Mr. KNG Meng Hwee, Deputy Chief Executive of the Energy Market
Authority of Singapore, handed the trophy to Mr. Dai Bing, the representative
and CTO of GCL-Poly.

APVIA Award is the highest honor conferred by Asian Photovoltaic Industry
Association to the enterprises and individuals who have made outstanding
contributions to the photovoltaic industry in Asia and other parts of the
world as a whole. The awardees, which are usually leading enterprises in the
PV industry, are selected by industrial experts through a series of strict
review procedures.

As a globally leading PV company, GCL-Poly has achieved breakthroughs in areas
such as polysilicon, silicon growth ingot, wafer and end-market applications.
Not only has it secured a leading position in productivity and production in
polysilicon and wafer, GCL-Poly has also made remarkable achievements in
technological innovation, application of energy-saving techniques, quality
management and marketing of series of highly efficient products. Moreover, it
has made significant contribution in cost control and advocacy of sound
development of the industry, which fully demonstrated its strong awareness of
social responsibility as a clean energy enterprise aiming to “bring green
power to life”.

Dr. Dai Bing, on behalf of GCL-Poly, received this highest honor in Asian PV
industry and delivered an impassioned address to express the gratitude of the
Company to the confidence and acknowledgement of Asian Photovoltaic Industry
Association and its industrial peers. He also said that the Company would
spare no effort to achieve the sound development of PV industry and
grid-parity in PV power generation through technological innovation.

On the awarding ceremony, Mr. Zhu Gongshan, the Chairman of the Company, as
the newly elected Co-Chair of Asian Photovoltaic Industry Association granted
an award to Professor Martin Green, hailed as “Father of Photovoltaics” from
University of New South Wales, Australia for his efforts in talents
cultivation. Those awarded also include enterprises such as First Solar, Trina
Solar, Phoenix Solar and Standard Chartered Bank and individuals such as Mr.
Fang Peng, who received the awards for Technological Achievement, Photovoltaic
Application and Banking and Financing Initiative, etc.

This awarding ceremony has become a highlight of the 2013 PV Asia Pacific
Conference. Over 200 industrial representatives attending the conference
witnessed this honorary moment.
