(NYSE: CGI) today announced the winner of its first 24 Hour Case Study Competition. The competition involved 7 teams from four different colleges and universities, including Butler University, Franklin College, University of Indianapolis, and Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis. The case study provided real world business experience for students, focusing on the issue of driver retention and potential solutions to reduce the significant challenges and costs impacting Celadon Trucking and the industry in general. Teams were given the case on a Friday morning and had 24 hours to conduct research, compile data, outline findings and present potential solutions to the driver retention challenge. Teams were judged on their level of professionalism, visual presentation, overall solutions content, and their responses to questions from Celadon’s executive team and industry experts during defense of their proposals. Though the efforts of all teams were outstanding and reflected very positively on their schools, one team set itself apart for its analytical approach in outlining solutions and value propositions, and then tying those together with a financial analysis on expected ROI. Congratulations to the winning team of Andrew Wallace, Mike Bursik, Robert Beckett, and Alex Povejsil from Butler University.
