traffic information is helping power Volkswagen's new Car-Net navigation
service. The announcement marks the first collaboration between INRIX and
Volkswagen as the two companies work together to bring the benefits of the

Currently available in 2013 GTI and GTD models across Europe, INRIX is
providing drivers with insight into real time traffic conditions, travel times
and the fastest routes as well as alerts to better routes for navigating
around accidents, road works, road closures and other traffic-causing delays.

For the first time, Volkswagen real-time navigation owners can navigate around
the day's traffic jams through real-time analysis of traffic conditions on
more than one million kilometers of roads across Europe. INRIX analyzes
real-time data from a unique combination of sources including road sensors,
accident and incident reports, weather, local events and the company's own
crowd-sourced network of millions of vehicles and devices.
INRIX traffic information is available initially on Volkswagen GTI and GTD
models in selected European countries as part of the optional Car-Net package.
