ECOB to Deliver Three Value-Added Whole-House Packs by the End of October 2013

PR Newswire

VISTA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2013

VISTA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Eco Building Products, Inc.
(OTCQB: ECOB) announced today the Company has been notified that the Wells
Eason development in West Lancaster, California is now ready to proceed with
construction of three model homes for the Desert Crest Project in West
Lancaster, CA. The project is currently underway with concrete being poured
now for the first three [model] homes, with forty-one (41) additional
production units to follow shortly thereafter. Desert Crest is a unique
project consisting of two phases, all of which will be supplied by ECOB
through a distribution partner in Southern California. "If sales are good, the
developer is hoping to add twenty-two (22) additional homes ranging from 2,100
to 2,700 square feet with a targeted sales price from the mid $300,000s, with
expectations to sell out the first phase within six to eight months," cited
Andrew J. Johnson Jr. of Prudential Troth Realtors AJ4homes.com.

Desert Crest development is one of the few remaining new home developments
available in Lancaster due to the water district not issuing any new water
permits for new home builder tracts. All homes are being designed and
certified as a GREEN development with the integration of solar panels and
other technically advanced building materials like Eco Red Shield™ protected
lumber, EWP and Trusses.

"The Antelope Valley region has rebounded very quickly following the downturn
in housing over 18 months ago. When we first selected this area to build,
Lancaster was ranked the fastest growing city in the U.S. New homebuyers are
now jumping back into this market because the homes are convenientlylocated
for the many who work in Los Angeles, coupled with the fact that homes in this
area are very reasonably priced," stated Rick Wackeen, President of ACS
Development Corporation.

"We have worked very hard to assist this developer with designing value-added
green homes knowing that the market would eventually turn in our favor. This
week's movement of the Desert Crest project supports the recent headlines in
the news of housing starts surging in the USA. The Company is extremely
pleased to be in a position to capitalize on this trend. At Eco, we offer a
variety of new products in support of this project as we continue to raise the
bar on how American home building leads the world in the construction of
defensive wood-framed buildings. We have watched American wood-framed
buildings evolve in the wake of catastrophic events like the Northridge quake
in CA, and the hurricanes often experienced in the Gulf region and on the
Eastern seaboard. This was not easy at first, but if you look at the
engineering progress in the west with respect to ground movement, and in
Florida resisting lateral movement associated with high-wind events, we're
building defensively now," stated Steve Conboy, President and CEO of Eco
Building Products, Inc. "We need to continue embracing technologies that will
protect the wood fiber strength on more than just the mud sill so the wood
fiber strength will be present when tested, instead of just allowing termites
and rot to destroy the engineering values. If we add some value-added fire
protection that is affordable to residential builders, we are leading the
world in affordable building technology using lumber verses steel and
concrete," added Conboy.
