Sampo's Annual Report and corporate video receive international Red Dot Awards
Sampo Group's Online Annual Report 2012 and Sampo's video '25 Years as a
Listed Company' have been granted the international Red Dot Communication
Design 2013 Awards. Sampo's was the only online annual report to be awarded.
The winners were announced on 18 October in Berlinat the Red Dot
Communication Design 2013Exhibitionand on Red Dot's website:
The 'Red Dot Award: Communication Design' is an international competition that
has been evaluating visual execution in communication since 1993. This year,
the international jury assessed more than 6,800 entries from 49 countries. The
evaluation criteria included originality and emotional quality, effective
target group reach, interface and aesthetics and recognition value and social
The look of Sampo's Annual Report was designed by Mikko Mannelin/YellowBlack.
Other co-operation partners in Sampo's Annual Report project were the
communication and public relations consultancy Miltton, the digital media
agency Crasman, and photographer Juha Törmälä. Anima Boutique and YellowBlack
collaborated on the video production.
"The online version offers diverse opportunities to present the contents of
the report and makes it possible to reach target groups all over the world
almost simultaneously. To date, Sampo's Annual Report 2012 has been read in 90
countries," says Project Manager Päivi Walldén of Sampo.
ProCom, the Finnish Association of Communications Professionals, earlier this
year named Sampo's Annual Report 2012 as the best of the year among listed
