Mitel Opens New Solution Center in DC Metro Area as the Company Gains Market

OTTAWA, Oct. 10, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW) is
helping its customers get hands-on Unified Communications, cloud and contact
center experience with the opening of a new Executive Solution Center today in
Herndon, Virginia to serve the Washington, D.C. Metro area. This is the first
in a series of new solutions centers to open in strategic U.S. markets over
the next 12 months.

The expansion of Mitel's Executive Solution Centers reflects the company's
overall growth strategy and market momentum. Recent market data from industry
analyst firm MZA Ltd. shows Mitel gaining market share in North America for IP
PBX extensions, with Mitel holding the third largest market share in the U.S.,
outpacing Microsoft and ShoreTel.

Tim Gaines, Mitel's VP of Sales for the U.S., Caribbean and Latin America, cut
the ribbon at the opening ceremony today. "Mitel's Executive Solution Centers
