GEICO Personalities Come to the Big Screen! 
Horizon Media Brings the GEICO Gecko and Caleb the Camel to Local
Movie Theatres via "Silence Your Cell Phone" Courtesy Messaging
NEW YORK, NY  -- (Marketwired) -- 10/03/13 --  Horizon Media
announced today the launch of its new cinema PSA sponsorship for
GEICO. In partnership with NCM and Screenvision, national leaders in
cinema advertising, GEICO will air a series of sponsored Silence Your
Cell Phone public service announcements. The Silence Your Cell Phone
campaign launches in theatres this month. 
The newly created cinema PSA's, developed by The Martin Agency,
include two creative executions that encourage customers to Silence
Your Cell Phone. The first execution stars the GEICO Gecko, and plays
on the nostalgic "let's go to the lobby" announcement for movie-goers
to purchase food and drink at the concession stand. In a twist on
this old school message, the GEICO Gecko asks those who are not ready
to silence their cell phones to "go to the lobby" to continue their
The second execution features Caleb - the wildly popular talking
camel from the famous "Hump Day" television spot - boisterously
entering a cinema to remind movie-goers to put away their phones
during the film, and to refrain from texting.

The cinema sponsorships allow brands to showcase creativity on a high

include branded Silence Your Cell Phone courtesy messages, cinema
lobby advertising and :30 second brand spots.
