BayWa r.e. Constructs 19.5 MWp Solar Farm at Great Glemham in England

BayWa r.e. renewable energy GmbH (BayWar.e.) is currently constructing a
solar farm with a total output of 19.5MWp at the disused Parham Airfield in
Great Glemham, Suffolk. Polycrystalline modules from Trina and Yingli will be
used for the fixed tilt PV plant.

Construction work at the Great Glemham Solar Farm is scheduled for completion
in October. The plant will be able to generate around 19,000,000kWh per
annum, which will be enough to supply approximately 5000average British
households with renewable energy. Over a 20 year period, this means CO 
reductions of around 277,000t.
Currently, BayWar.e. has a total of almost 40MWp solar capacity under
construction in the UK and a further 10MWp due to commence shortly. In
addition, the company has scheduled projects with at least the same capacity
again for 2014. In parallel, it is expanding its network of local project
developers and service providers.
