Record-breaking September for Subaru Canada; All-time record for Subaru XV 

    --  Subaru Canada breaks the 3,000-unit sales mark with seven
        consecutive months of sales increases.
    --  September is the best month ever for Subaru's compact
        crossover, the XV Crosstrek.
    --  The Subaru Forester leads in volume with sales up 81.8 percent,
        enjoying its best September ever.
    --  Subaru is Canada's fastest growing Japanese automaker with YTD
        results up 21.1 percent.

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today 
celebrates landmark sales results as the Subaru XV Crosstrek achieves its best 
month ever, contributing to Subaru Canada's best September ever. Subaru 
retailed 3,310 units this past month, up 23.2 percent over the same period 
last year. Subaru is also up 21.1 percent year to date as it works towards 
another historic all-time annual sales record, enjoying its tenure as Canada's 
fastest growing Japanese automaker.

In the compact SUV segment, the Subaru Forester puts the "Sport" back in SUV 
with results up 81.8 percent this September. Subaru's rear-wheel-drive sports 
coupe, the BRZ, also blazed a hot trail with a scorching sales increase of 
66.7 percent. Canada's most fuel-efficient All-Wheel Drive compact crossover, 
the Subaru XV Crosstrek, achieved its biggest milestone to date, accomplishing 
its highest sales on record with results up 36.8 percent over last September.
