Third Quarter 2013 Financial Results Conference Call and Analyst Presentation

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- September 19, 2013

Mattel, Inc. (Nasdaq: MAT) announced it plans to release its third quarter
2013 financial results on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, followed by a
conference call and webcast at 8:30 a.m. Eastern time, led by the company’s
chief executive officer, Bryan G. Stockton. In addition, Stockton, along with
Mattel’s Chief Financial Officer Kevin Farr, will provide an update on the
business to securities analysts on Wednesday, October 30, 2013.

The third quarter financial results conference call will be webcast on the
“Investors” section of the company’s corporate website,
http://corporate.mattel.com/. To listen to the live call, log on to the
website at least 15 minutes early to register, download and install any
necessary audio software. An archive of the webcast will be available on the
company’s website for 90 days and may be accessed beginning two hours after
