Appointment of Chief Financial Officer
ABG is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Wray as Chief Financial
Officer. Andrew joined ABG as Head of Corporate Development and Investor
Relations in 2010 and has been instrumental in transitioning ABG to a public
company and more recently has led the company wide Operational Review which has
identified over $185 million of potential cost savings initiatives.
Prior to ABG, Andrew spent over 13 years at JP Morgan Cazenove where as part of
the Corporate Finance team he advised a range of mining and other companies in
their capital raising activities and other strategic objectives.
Andrew will retain his existing responsibilities in addition to those of his
new role. Jaco Maritz, who assumed the role of Acting Chief Financial Officer
earlier this year, will revert to his original position of Vice President,
Brad Gordon, ABG's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Andrew has been an integral
part of the management team of ABG over the past three years. I believe that
with his skills and experience he will add significant value as CFO at what is
a critical time for the Company as I restructure the senior team to build on
the platform provided by a high quality asset base and to achieve consistent
operational delivery. At the same time, I would like to thank Jaco for all of
his efforts as Acting CFO this year and he will remain a key member of the
Finance team alongside Andrew."
