BroadSoft Wins People's Choice Stevie(R) Award in 2013 American Business
Award(SM) Competition
GAITHERSBURG, MD -- (Marketwired) -- 09/16/13 -- BroadSoft, Inc.
(NASDAQ: BSFT) today announced that UC-One(R), the firm's open
Unified Communications (UC) platform, was named a winner of a
People's Choice Stevie(R) Award for Favorite New Products in The 11th
Annual American Business Awards.
BroadSoft UC-One was named winner in the "Favorite Telecommunications
Service" category. UC-One is a comprehensive, open Unified
Communications platform comprised of four key elements (user
experience, mobility, openness and go-to-market) that help service
providers design and rapidly introduce UC solutions. UC-One enables
service providers to tailor a wide range of successful solutions for
the specific market segments they serve by meeting the variety of
communications needs of individual users.
The American Business Awards are among the nation's premier business
awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are
eligible to submit nominations -- public and private, for-profit and
non-profit, large and small.
"It is so gratifying when the intended users of your product or
service recognize its benefits. We are excited to receive the
People's Choice Stevie award, and we thank the voters who
acknowledged the power of UC-One and its mobile unified
communications capabilities," said Leslie Ferry, vice president
marketing, BroadSoft. "UC-One represents BroadSoft's ongoing
commitment to helping service providers meet the demand for
enterprise UC services that can improve user productivity and enhance
business processes."
The People's Choice Stevie Awards for Favorite New Products are a
feature of The American Business Awards in which the general public
can vote for their favorite new products and services of the year.
More than 20,000 votes were cast in 34 product categories this year.
All new products and services to be honored in the ABA's new product
categories were included in people's choice voting.
More than 3,200 nominations were submitted to this year's American
Business Awards for consideration in a wide range of categories,
including New Product or Service of the Year, Most Innovative Company
of the Year, Management Team of the Year, Best New Product or Service
of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and
Executive of the Year, among others.
"The People's Choice Stevie Awards for Favorite New Products are one
of the most popular features of The American Business Awards, because
they complement the peer-review process of our awards competition
with another means of validation for product concepts and
performance," said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the
Stevie Awards.
The crystal People's Choice Stevie Awards will be presented to
winners during a gala banquet on Monday, September 16 at the Julia
Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco. More than 250 American Business
Awards nominees and their guests will attend. Peer-adjudicated Gold,
Silver and Bronze Stevie Award winners will also be announced and
presented their awards that evening.
