A former federal prosecutor, Mr. Hilder represents individuals, corporate
officers and businesses in white-collar criminal defense, internal
investigations, whistle-blower matters and related litigation. He also focuses
on cases involving health care and Medicaid fraud. He routinely handles
high-profile cases, including previously representing the whistle-blowers at
Enron Corp. and Countrywide Financial Corp.
Mr. Hilder currently serves as the National Co-Chair of the White-Collar Crime
Committee for the American Bar Association's Criminal Justice Section. He also
is Co-Chair of the ABA National Institute on Securities Fraud.
A Boston College Law School graduate, Mr. Hilder served as the
attorney-in-charge of the Department of Justice Organized Crime Strike Force
in Houston. While in private practice, he has served as President of the
Federal Bar Association in Houston in addition to appointments as a federal
Special Counsel and a State Bar of Texas Grievance Panel member.
