Mitsubishi Sales Jump To A 24 Percent Increase In August
CYPRESS, Calif., Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Mitsubishi Motors North America
(MMNA) today reported August sales of 5,281, an increase of 24.3 percent
compared to August 2012.
The U.S.-built Outlander Sport crossover led the way with sales of 2,171, an
increase of more than 59 percent. August marks twelve consecutive months of
sales increases for the fuel-efficient CUV. Outlander Sport sales are up more
than 53 percent year to date.
Sales of the all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander, showed a year-over-year
increase of more than 100 percent for the second consecutive month. Overall
Outlander sales are up 43 percent year-to-date.
In October, Mitsubishi Motors will celebrate the full sales launch of the
all-new 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage 5-door sub-compact – the most fuel-efficient
gasoline-powered, non-hybrid vehicle in America.
Mitsubishi August sales highlights:
oOutlander Sport sales were up 59.5 percent in August and are up 53.5
percent for the year.
oOutlander sales were up 103.0 percent in August and are up 43.0 percent
oLancer sedan sales were up 9.8 percent in August and are up 29.5 percent
oLancer Evolution sales were up 13.2 percent in August and are up 5.0
percent for the year.
