KONE Oyj : KONE wins an order for elevators and escalators at the Dazhongli
development in the heart of Shanghai's commercial district in China

KONE Corporation, press release, September 3, 2013

KONE has won an order for 108 elevators and 57 escalators at Dazhongli, a
mixed-use development on Shanghai's flourishing commercial street, West
Nanjing Road. Located close to an existing and two planned metro lines,
Dazhongli is expected to become a landmark business, leisure and entertainment
venue in China's most populous city.

The order includes 58 KONE MiniSpace(TM) elevators, 49 KONE MonoSpace®
elevators, one KONE TranSys(TM) vehicle elevator, and 57 KONE TravelMaster®
escalators. These solutions are industry-leading in terms of eco-efficiency.
The elevators are equipped with KONE EcoDisc® hoisting machines, highly
efficient drives, enhanced standby solutions and LED lighting, contributing to
significant reductions in energy consumption. KONE Direct Drive, an innovative
escalator drive system, consumes less electricity than standard drives on the
market. Equipment performance will be monitored using the KONE E-Link
monitoring system.

Covering a land area of some 63,000 square meters, Dazhongli will comprise two
office buildings, a high quality shopping mall and three luxury hotels, with a
gross floor area of 323,000 square meters. The taller office tower at
Dazhongli will be KONE's tallest reference in Shanghai Puxi, the city's
historic cultural, residential and commercial center.

"We are excited to deliver our People Flow® solutions to this major project in
the heart of Shanghai's commercial and cultural hub. The smooth flow of people
will be of great importance at this busy new site, and our solutions will
enable it to be as eco-efficiently as possible," said William B. Johnson,
Executive Vice President for KONE in Greater China.

The Dazhongli project is expected to be completed in phases from 2016 onwards.
The investors and developers are HKR International Limited and Swire
Properties Limited, each with a 50-percent stake, while the consultants for
the project are WOY(architect), AECOM (structural consultant), and PBA
(electrical consultant). The main contractor is Shanghai Construction Group.
The order was booked in the second quarter of 2013.
