GLENTEL Assumes Operations of BJ's Wireless Kiosks in U.S.

BURNABY, BC, Aug. 26, 2013 /CNW/ - GLENTEL Inc. (TSX: GLN) announced today
that as of August 1, 2013, its U.S. subsidiary, Diamond Wireless, an exclusive
Verizon Wireless National Premium Retailer, began managing and operating 154
kiosks in 12 U.S. states as part of its multi-year kiosk licensing agreement
with BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. ("BJ's). Verizon Wireless, under agreement with
BJ's, has been operating the 154 wireless kiosks since 2006. As a National
Premium Retailer for Verizon Wireless, Diamond Wireless, under a new agreement
with BJ's, has agreed to manage and operate the existing wireless kiosks
within BJ's and to open kiosks in other selected BJ's locations that currently
do not offer smartphones. Smartphones and other wireless devices sold at the
kiosks are activated by Diamond Wireless exclusively through Verizon Wireless,
which offers America's largest 4G LTE network.
"We are delighted to commence our long-term exclusive kiosk licensing
agreement with BJ's and look forward to a successful and rewarding
relationship with BJ's," said Troy Crosland, Diamond Wireless' President and
Managing Director. "Diamond Wireless' commitment to excellence, with
first-rate customer service and product knowledge, should meet or exceed the
expectations of BJ's club members."
Tom Skidmore, GLENTEL's President and CEO stated, "Under the leadership of
Diamond Wireless, we anticipate our BJ's related sales to add approximately
$110 to 125 million of top-line revenue and be accretive to earnings per share
over the next twelve months. It is expected that the Diamond-BJ's kiosk stores
will have similar financial performance to the Costco Wholesale Canada
wireless kiosks managed by GLENTEL's Retail Canada Division under the WIRELESS
etc… and SANS FIL etc…banners. Our partnership with BJ's is further
evidence of GLENTEL's commitment to the U.S. smartphone market and our
