  Regal Entertainment Group Announces “Riddick” Fan Art Winner

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- August 21, 2013

Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor
owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today
announces that acclaimed actor and producer Vin Diesel has chosen a winner for
the Regal Fan Art Challenge. Regal moviegoers were asked to design a poster
for the upcoming “Riddick” movie. Selected from nearly 800 contest entries, a
design by Merē Jorgensen is the grand prize winner.

“I have career aspirations of working in the entertainment design industry,
and a friend suggested I enter. It seemed like a greatopportunity to exercise
my skills and gain some experience,” said Merē when asked about her interest
in the contest. “I love science fiction and the overall aesthetic of the
‘Riddick’ franchise. I also like Vin Diesel and how he often takes on fun
roles in films, which is always enjoyable to see.”

The winning poster features Riddick himself ruling the dark, wearing his
signature goggles. Merē’s design will be on display at all participating Regal
Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres across the country. And while
supplies last, mini-posters will be given away for free during opening weekend
of “Riddick.”

As grand prize winner, Jorgensen will receive a framed copy of her poster
autographed by Vin Diesel along with free hotel and airfare to Los Angeles to
see “Riddick” at Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE. Ten additional poster designers will
be awarded a prize package consisting of the signature Riddick goggles along
with a backpack, aluminum drinking bottle, tank top, hat and other movie
