Allianz Life Contributes Record-Breaking Donation to Alzheimer's Association

Annual Driving to Donate Tournament Raised $179,000 to Support Seniors
MINNEAPOLIS -- August 21, 2013
Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) today announced
that its annual Driving to Donate Charity Golf Tournament raised more than
$179,000, surpassing last year’s record total of $159,000. Proceeds from this
year’s tournament went to the Alzheimer’s Association MN-ND, a non-profit that
provides advocacy, support services and care consultation for families, health
care providers and individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
Driving to Donate, which began in 1996, has become a premier event in
Minnesota ranking in 2012 among the top 25 charity golf tournaments.
“I’m proud to see Allianz Life employees once again coming together to improve
the quality of life for those struggling with dementia and Alzheimer’s
disease,” said Allianz Life General Counsel Gretchen Cepek. Cepek serves on
the Alzheimer’s Association MN-ND board. “This donation will enhance the
resources used by seniors, caregivers, friends and family as they deal with

the tournament, which was held at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids,
Minn. The final contribution of more than $179,000 was achieved through the
golf outing, employee donations, raffle ticket sales, and an online auction.
Key vendor partnerships that contributed were tournament sponsors Jorden Burt
LLP and Accenture as well as MotivAction, Faegre Baker Daniels, Sutherland and
Tata Consultancy Services.

Association MN-ND. “The funds raised through Driving to Donate will help our
organization expand dementia support and research so we can live in a world
without Alzheimer’s disease.”
