ACE Appoints New Energy Risk Engineer in Asia Pacific
SINGAPORE -- August 16, 2013
ACE in Asia Pacific, part of the ACE Group, one of the world’s largest
multiline property and casualty insurers, announced today the appointment of
James Rout as the Energy Risk Engineer for the Asia Pacific region. Based in
Singapore, Mr Rout will be focused on enhancing the delivery of our Energy
Engineering services to our Asia-based clients. He is a member of the ACE
Global Energy engineering team which now comprises nine energy engineers
operating in five different regions around the world.
An experienced chemical engineer with specialization in insurance risk
engineering for the oil and petrochemical sector, Mr. Rout’s strong
operational and technical background was developed through 10 years of direct
industry experience and another six years of risk engineering experience
covering operational, construction and liability insurance. Mr. Rout also
brings with him considerable international experience having previously worked
in Asia, the Middle East, North America and Europe.
On this new appointment, Rai Navakas, ACE’s Regional Head of Risk Management
Engineering Services, said, “We are fortunate to have an experienced
professional like James augment our Energy team. His strong background and
industry experience will provide a good foundation for the continued expansion
of ACE’s Energy business in the region.”
