A.M. Best Withdraws Ratings of UnitedHealthcare of South Carolina, Inc. Business Wire OLDWICK, N.J. -- July 29, 2013 A.M. Best Co. has withdrawn the financial strength rating of A- (Excellent) and issuer credit rating of "a-" of UnitedHealthcare of South Carolina, Inc. (UHCSC) (Greenville, SC), a former subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, Incorporated (NYSE: UNH) (Minnetonka, MN). The withdrawal of UHCSC’s ratings follows the sale of the company to The WellCare Management Group, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of WellCare Health Plans, Inc.
