The project is initiated and coordinated by the Children of Africa charity foundation headed by Mrs. Dominique Ouattara, first lady of Cote d'Ivoire. The Mother-Child hospital is being built on a plot of 2 hectares adjoining the botanic garden, within a picturesque medical sector of Bingerville, former capital of the Republic.
