Pennsylvania Governor Corbett Appoints David W. Woods to Gaming Control Board

HARRISBURG, Pa., July 17, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --Governor Tom Corbett
today announced that he has appointed David W. Woods to serve as a member of
the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The board oversees the 11 casinos now
operating statewide.

"I've known and worked with Dave for many years,'' Corbett said. "He has
earned the respect of those who know and have worked with him. His public and
private sector experience make him well-qualified for the Gaming Control
Board.''

Woods currently serves as chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Dominic
Pileggi (R-Delaware). Previously, Woods served in the same role for Sen. F.
Joseph Loeper from 1979 to 1998. He also was vice president for PECO Energy
Company and Exelon Corporation.

Woods, 55, of Edgemont Township, Delaware County, earned his bachelor's and
master's degrees from Shippensburg University.

The seven-member Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board was established through the
passage of Act 71 of 2004, also known as the Race Horse Development and Gaming
Act. The board oversaw the creation of a casino industry offering both slot
machine and table gaming.

The 11 casinos now in operation in Pennsylvania offer both slot machine and
table game gambling, and employ more than 16,000 people.
