MCN Enables Search for KDDI's 'au Smart Pass'
Newly upgraded site makes finding apps, content and e-coupons simple for
end-users. Advertisers can now promote their services through keyword-driven ad
Tokyo, July 17, 2013 - (JCN Newswire) - Mobile search and advertising solution
provider MCN has provided the search and ad management system for KDDI's
newly upgraded "au Smart Pass" portal in cooperation with
Japan's mediba, inc.
Smart Pass search allows end-users to find their favorite Apps, Coupons,
Videos and e-books through MCN's cloud-based, federated search platform.
The system also provides full-text search results across all of the Smart Pass
Menu List content.
In addition, MCN built the search advertising system for Smart Pass search
enabling advertisers to promote their content via keywords which are matched to
both content and metadata, and managed via an ad management dashboard.
The search service launched on June 6th in conjunction with the update of the
"au Smart Pass" portal. Advertising on the search service officially
launched on July 16th, following the completion of an initial pilot period, and
will be available through mediba's advertising sales team.
