Moscow, July 15, 2013 - MMC Norilsk Nickel (hereinafter, MMC Norilsk Nickel or

today that  Sergey Dyachenko  joined  its management  team as  Deputy  General 
Director, Chief Operating Officer.

Sergey Dyachenko has a broad experience in the mining industry. Before joining
Norilsk Nickel he held senior executive  positions at Kazakhmys, De Beers  and 
Rio Tinto

Born 1962 in Leningrad, USSR.


1984 - graduated  from Plekhanov Leningrad  Mining Institute with  a major  in 
Mining Engineering.

2004 - awarded a Master's Degree by the University of Pretoria (South Africa).

2010-2013 - Chief Operating Officer, Kazakhmys Group.

2009-2010  -  General  Director,   Group  General  Manager,  Mining   Business 
Development, De Beers Russia

2006-2009 - Group Consultant, De Beers.

2002-2006 - Mine Manager, Rio Tinto.

1997-2002 - Mine Manager, De Beers.
