Moscow, July 15, 2013 - MMC Norilsk Nickel (hereinafter, MMC Norilsk Nickel or
the Company),  the largest  global nickel  and palladium  producer,  announces 
today that  Sergey Dyachenko  joined  its management  team as  Deputy  General 
Director, Chief Operating Officer.

Sergey Dyachenko has a broad experience in the mining industry. Before joining
Norilsk Nickel he held senior executive  positions at Kazakhmys, De Beers  and 
Rio Tinto

"I'm happy to join  Norilsk Nickel team," says  Mr. Dyachenko, "I believe  the 
Company has huge opportunities  for further development.  We are intending  to 
maintain leadership positions in nickel,  palladium and other metals  markets,

1984 - graduated  from Plekhanov Leningrad  Mining Institute with  a major  in 
Mining Engineering.

2004 - awarded a Master's Degree by the University of Pretoria (South Africa).

Employment Background:

2010-2013 - Chief Operating Officer, Kazakhmys Group.

2009-2010  -  General  Director,   Group  General  Manager,  Mining   Business 
Development, De Beers Russia

2006-2009 - Group Consultant, De Beers.

2002-2006 - Mine Manager, Rio Tinto.

1997-2002 - Mine Manager, De Beers.
