John Crane President and CEO Duncan Gillis joins the National Association of
Manufacturers (NAM) Board of Directors on behalf of John Crane and parent
company Smiths Group plc. The NAM is the nation’s largest industrial trade
association, representing small and large manufacturers in every industrial
sector and in all 50 states. Manufacturing employs nearly 12 million workers,
contributes more than $1.6 trillion to the U.S. economy annually, and is the
largest driver of economic growth in the nation. Members of the Board provide
national and global perspectives on the impact of federal government action on
manufacturing growth and contribute leadership and expertise to the NAM’s
policy development process.
