Elsevier Selected by Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies to Publish
New Journal: Travel Behaviour and Society

to publish the new journal of the Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies
(HKSTS), Travel Behaviour and Society .
Travel Behaviour and Society is an interdisciplinary journal publishing
high-quality, original papers which report on leading research in theory,
methodology and applications, in relation to the issues and challenges
surrounding the social and spatial aspects of transportation. It aims to
provide a forum for publication and discussion for all research in the field
of transportation, including travel behavior, infrastructure, environmental
issues, mobility and social sustainability, transportation geographic
information systems (TGIS), quality of life, data collection and analysis.
"Transportation issues and challenges are so closely intertwined with the
fabrics of society that key transportation problems, such as congestion and
air pollution, cannot be fully understood and long-lasting solutions cannot be
