The 2012 Sustainability Report describes the IHS initiatives in three focus
areas: “Live Well,” “Live Wise” and “Live Green.” Among the report’s

“Live Well”— In 2012, IHS introduced a global benefit under which all
colleagues have a full paid day off to share their time in the community
through volunteering. Colleagues also have opportunities to participate in
healthy lifestyle programs such as the Prevention Plan, where they can learn
and track healthy life choices and access information to improve their health
and wellness.

“Live Wise”— IHS colleagues are working, volunteering and supporting
communities around the world, sharing information and helping to advance
education, career development and knowledge. For example, in July 2012 as part
of Geoscience Day, elementary school students visited the IHS office in
Houston, Texas, to learn about careers in science, technology, engineering and
math (STEM).

environmental impacts and identify areas for improvement. In 2012, IHS
