CoverHound (, a technology startup that provides consumers with
a smarter way to compare, buy and manage insurance online, today announced the
appointment of Keith Moore to its executive team. Keith will be joining the
company at its San Francisco headquarters as the Chief Marketing Officer.

Moore brings more than 18 years of experience in Internet product development
and marketing to CoverHound. He will join CoverHound to lead the company’s
customer growth, branding and strategic marketing initiatives. Prior to
CoverHound, Moore was the President and Chief Operating Officer at
AcademixDirect, Inc. where he lead the marketing and technology company to
profitability and more than doubled revenue, all while transitioning the
company over to its new, proprietary lead generation technology platform.

Prior to AcademixDirect, Keith was the Chief Marketing Officer of iContact,
where his marketing and branding leadership significantly increased the SaaS
company’s valuation through targeted small business customer growth, which led
to the company raising $40 million in Series B funding and its eventual $169
million acquisition by Vocus (NASDAQ: VOCS). Moore also previously served as
General Manager and as Senior Vice President at LendingTree (NASDAQ: TREE).

Before joining LendingTree, Keith also led the Marketing, Sales, and Internet
Operations of the Western Mutual Insurance Group, which was the first direct
insurance carrier to offer online instant quotes and purchase options for
Earthquake and Preferred Homeowners Insurance.

existing investor Blumberg Capital also contributed to the A round, which
brings CoverHound’s total funding to date to $6.5 million.
