Brand South Africa Reappoints Hill+Knowlton Strategies for Global Assignment
LONDON -- June 27, 2013
Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K) has been reappointed by Brand South Africa on a
global three-year retained contract. H+K will help the government agency
manage the country’s international reputation and support its drive to promote
South Africa as a business and investment destination.
H+K worked on the previous three-year international contract under which
activity was focused on the BRIC markets, Germany, UAE, Nigeria and Kenya.
Following a four-way competitive pitch process, the new brief will continue
activity in these markets, with potential for the expansion of existing work
in Africa including venturing into new markets of Ghana, Zimbabwe and the DRC.
The scope of work includes supporting brand and reputation activity at WEF
Davos, the BRICS Summit, international trade initiatives and state visits – as
well as locally-based, market-specific campaigns.
Lalu Dasgupta, Senior Vice President of H+K’s Global Corporate Advisory
practise will continue to lead the account. Commenting on the win, he said:
