During their more than 40 combined years at Starbucks, McMartin and Kern, respectively, managed coffee sourcing and the customer experience, contributing to the company’s growth from a six-store Seattle coffee bean retailer to a global brand. An expert blender and taster, his experience includes establishing sourcing relationships and operations in 18 coffee-producing countries and hundreds of coffee farms in Latin America, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region. Kern, Briggo’s Director of Coffee Products and Customer Experience, will work closely with McMartin on coffee quality and product development and the Briggo customer experience, as well as marketing and promotion efforts.
