Kimberly Lindley to Its Board of Regents

MALIBU, Calif. -- June 25, 2013

Pepperdine University has added three new regents to its 40-member Board of
Regents, the governing board of the university. The new regents, Peter James
Johnson, Jr., Kimberly Lindley, and John Plueger, will serve three-year terms
and help shape the direction of the university. In addition, the university
named its fourth president, William S. Banowsky, to the post of life regent.

Peter James Johnson, Jr. is president of Leahey & Johnson, P.C., a Wall Street
law firm. Johnson has earned a reputation for excellence as a trial lawyer and
appellate lawyer in complex litigation, earning Martindale-Hubbell’s highest
“AV” rating and listing as a “Super Lawyer” in the New York City metropolitan
area. He serves as a member of the New York governor’s judicial screening
panel for the appointment of Supreme Court and appellate division justices,
and is a legal, policy, and media analyst for the FOX News Channel. Johnson is
a graduate of Columbia College and Columbia University’s School of Law.

Kimberly Lindley currently serves the Campaign for Pepperdine as a member of
the Seaver College campaign committee. She and her husband, Don Lindley, the
president of natural gas liquids business development at Kinder Morgan, have a
long history of service to and with the university, including serving as
co-chairs of the Seaver Parents Council in 2010-2011. Lindley is a graduate of
Abilene Christian University and is engaged in graduate level work in learning
disabilities at Virginia Commonwealth University.

John Plueger is president, chief operating officer, and a member of the board
of directors of Air Lease Corporation (NYSE: AL). He has testified before the
U.S. House of Representatives as an aircraft leasing industry expert witness
and responded to European Commission formal inquiries concerning aerospace
industry mergers and acquisitions. He also serves on the boards of several
charitable organizations, including the Smithsonian National Air and Space
Museum. Plueger is a certified public accountant trained by PriceWaterhouse
and a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles. Plueger also
earned a certified director credential from its Anderson Graduate School of
Management.

Pepperdine has named its fourth president, William S. Banowsky, to the post of
life regent. Texas-born Banowsky served as president from 1971 to 1978, one of
the youngest university presidents in the nation at that time. He was
instrumental in the decision to move Pepperdine to Malibu and has been a
member of the board of regents for 42 years.
