CHICAGO, June 24, 2013 - Americans are taking advantage of the Fourth of July
falling on a Thursday this year with 66 percent of travelers planning to take
the following Friday off to make a long weekend out of the holiday.^1 Airports

· Boston (-11 percent) and Denver (-16 percent) are experiencing a
drop in year-over-year hotel rates, pointing to great July 4th hotel deals

· Orlando is showing affordable hotels rates ($93 per night) and
airfare ($319), ensuring that families purchasing multiple tickets and rooms
will be able to enjoy a group getaway without breaking the bank

· Airfare remains steady year-over-year with the biggest decreases
noted for Washington, D.C. (-8 percent) and New York City (-3 percent)

· Overall hotel rates are down to the top ten cities, with seven of
the ten offering rates less than $200 per night for the holiday weekend
