WAPA and eVgo host Freedom Station demonstration PR Newswire June 24 Live demonstration of the eVgo network's first operational EV charging station in the D.C. area The Washington Automotive Press Association (WAPA) and the eVgo^® network will host an exclusive preview of the first operational fast-charging Freedom Station for electric vehicles in the greater Washington D.C. areaon Wednesday, June 26^th at 1:30 p.m. The demonstration will take place at the eVgo Freedom Station next to Walgreens in Van Ness (4225 Connecticut Ave NW). Freedom Stations feature 480-volt fast chargers and 240-volt standard chargers. Fast chargers are capable of charging an electric car up to 150 miles of range per hour. The standard 240-volt chargers are compatible with any electric vehicle with a plug. eVgo spokespeople will be on hand to demonstrate the use of the Freedom Station and answer questions regarding eVgo's plans for expansion in the Washington, D.C. area.
