BOSTON, June 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --Eaton Vance Enhanced Equity Income Fund
II (NYSE: EOS), a diversified closed-end management investment company, today
announced the earnings of the Fund for the three months ended March 31, 2013.
The Fund's fiscal year ends on December 31, 2013.

For the three months ended March 31, 2013, the Fund had net investment loss of
$379,076 ($0.008 per common share). In comparison, for the three months ended
March 31, 2012, the Fund had net investment income of $234,118 ($0.004 per
common share).

Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended March 31, 2013
were $44,907,847 ($0.940 per common share). In comparison, net realized and
unrealized gains for the three months ended March 31, 2012 were $55,925,738
($1.153 per common share).

On March 31, 2013, net assets of the Fund were $602,621,259. The net asset
value per common share on March 31, 2013 was $12.64 based on 47,693,123 common
shares outstanding. In comparison, on March 31, 2012, net assets of the Fund
were $612,601,763. The net asset value per common share on March 31, 2012 was
$12.63 based on 48,492,823 common shares outstanding.
