NEW YORK -- June 6, 2013

MphasiS, an IT services company is proud to announce that its customer, AEGIS
was nominated for a Novarica Research Council Impact Award for Expansion.

The Novarica Research Council Impact Awards are selected by a panel of insurer
CIO members of the Novarica Insurance Technology Research Council. Members of
the 2013 nominating committee included CIOs or senior IT executives from
Ameritas, Amica, Glatfelter, Liberty Mutual, National Life Group, New York
Life Investments Mgt, Pioneer State Mutual, Sammons Group, The Hartford, and
Wilton Re. Winners will be determined by a vote open to all 300+ insurer
members of the Council, and announced at a panel and networking event in NYC
in August. More details are online at http://www.novarica.com/impact2013.

“The Novarica Research Council Impact Awards are the only pure peer-reviewed
award for insurance IT leaders,” said Matthew Josefowicz, a managing director
of Novarica, which runs the Council and administers the awards. “Only CIOs and
senior IT executives have a vote – no vendors or consultants are involved in
the selection.”

AEGIS was selected from among more than 30 case studies of recent successful
insurance IT practices and projects. AEGIS partnered with MphasiS to implement
NextGen, an IT transformational project. NextGen replaces legacy core systems,
incorporates business process enablement, and ultimately transforms AEGIS’
systems from a collection of user-intensive processes to an automated suite of
systems. The transformation consisted of building an all-inclusive platform
for underwriting, rating, policy administration and online application
submission that seamlessly integrated with the peripheral systems like
document printing, billing, reinsurance, claims and data warehouse. MphasiS is
currently in the process of building the Claims Management System for AEGIS.

“We congratulate AEGIS on this recognition, and are very proud AEGIS selected
us after an exhaustive evaluation process. We followed a phased implementation
approach to minimize risk,” said Craig Gustafson, Vice President and Head of
Business Development, Insurance, U.S. and Canada, MphasiS. “Each development
phase in turn followed an agile iterative approach with defined incremental
deliverables for every 90 days. This approach enabled faster roll out of
applications, resulting in quick wins through process efficiencies, automation
and improved customer service.”
