  Mattress Firm Hires Executive Vice President of Brand Management

      Industry veteran, Tim Oakhill, joins Mattress Firm management team

HOUSTON -- June 5, 2013

Mattress Firm, Inc., the nation’s largest specialty mattress retailer, today
announced that it has appointed Tim Oakhill as executive vice president of
brand management. In his new role, Mr. Oakhill will oversee brand and
communications strategy, development and implementation for the growing chain.

Mr. Oakhill is a 30-year marketing veteran with expertise that spans some of
the world’s largest brands in multiple product categories. He most recently
served as a consultant to Mattress Firm, Nomaco, EmployBridge and Eitel &
Armstrong, assisting in brand strategy, planning and product development
roles. Previously, he served as EVP of marketing for the Simmons Bedding
Company, where he was responsible for North American marketing and product
strategy, worldwide licensing strategy and brand management. Prior to joining
Simmons, Mr. Oakhill served as marketing manager for Eastman-Kodak Company and
also worked for Bates Worldwide, a global advertising and promotions firm,
managing high-profile accounts Texaco, Havoline, Wendy’s, Hormel and Murray
Bicycle.

Mr. Oakhill has more than 15 years of experience in the bedding industry. He

Sleep Council, an advisory committee for the International Sleep Products
Association (ISPA).
