Books-A-Million Tornado Relief Campaign Raises over $86,000 for the
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- June 3, 2013
Books-A-Million, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: BAMM) today announced that it has collected
over $86,000 in donations to support The Salvation Army’s tornado relief
efforts in Moore, Oklahoma after an EF-5 tornado killed 24 people and injured
377 in the Oklahoma City suburb on Monday, May 20, 2013.
During the past two weeks, customers made donations at all Books-A-Million’s
253 locations as well as through the company’s website at
“Thank you to our customers and associates for their overwhelming response,”

Books-A-Million Inc. “The Salvation Army is doingoutstanding work to rebuild
the lives of those impacted by the terrible tragedy in Oklahoma. We are able
to support them in their relief efforts through the generosity and support
from our customers and associates across the country.”
For the past eight years, Books-A-Million customers and associates have
supported The Salvation Army’s efforts donating close to $1.5 million through
holiday drives and in the aftermath of natural disasters throughout the United
States and the world.
