UK Regulatory Announcement

TeliaSonera (OSE:TEL)(STO:TLSN)(HEX:TLS1V)(LSE:TEE)(Nasdaq:TLSN) has won
frequencies in the 800 MHz band in the beauty contest in Estonia arranged by
the Estonian Technical Surveillance Authority.

The 800 MHz frequencies will enable a faster roll-out of 4G services in
Estonian rural areas. With the new frequencies TeliaSonera will roll-out 4G to
cover 95% of Estonian territory in the middle of June, 2013.

4G enables a better user experience than other mobile data technologies due to
its faster connection speeds and low latency.

TeliaSonera has already built a 4G network, using the 1800/2600 MHz
combination in Estonia. In the spectrum beauty contest TeliaSonera won 2 x 10
MHz frequencies in the 800 MHz band.

TeliaSonera was the first operator in the world to commercially launch 4G in
2009. Today TeliaSonera offers 4G services in nine countries: Sweden, Norway,
Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Azerbaijan and Moldova and has
announced the launch of 4G services in Spain on 18 July 2013. TeliaSonera has
also made 4G live connections in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

TeliaSonera provides network access and telecommunication services in the
Nordic and Baltic countries, the emerging markets of Eurasia, including Russia
and Turkey, and in Spain. TeliaSonera helps people and companies communicate
in an easy, efficient and environmentally friendly way. Our ambition is to be
number one or two in all our markets, providing the best customer experience,
high quality networks and cost efficient operations. TeliaSonera is also the
leading European wholesale provider with a wholly-owned international carrier
network. In 2012, net sales amounted to SEK 105 billion, EBITDA to SEK 36.1
billion and earnings per share to SEK 4.59. The TeliaSonera share is listed on
NASDAQ OMX Stockholm and NASDAQ OMX Helsinki.
