BIRMINGHAM, Ala., May 15, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BBVA Compass will sponsor the
Alabama Symphony Orchestra's third annual "Symphony in the Summer at Railroad
Park" outdoor concert series, bringing classic works and family-friendly
events to the park.

The free outdoor concert series will be held in the park, known as
"Birmingham's Living Room," from June 7-9. During the three-day series, the
symphony will play classical masterpieces by composers such as Beethoven and
Aaron Copland, among others.

"'Symphony in the Summer' is becoming a tradition in Birmingham, and we're
excited to bring the community together to experience classical music in our
own back yard," said BBVA Compass Birmingham City President Alan Register.
"Whether you're a classical music fan or just want to get the family outdoors,
the event offers something for everyone."

The bank is a longtime supporter of the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, through
the BBVA Compass Foundation's support of the Alabama Youth Symphony Orchestra.

and grow by rehearsing and performing great orchestral music in a professional

Concerts will begin at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, conducted by Resident
Conductor and Principal Pops Conductor Chris Confessore and Assistant
Conductor Roderick Cox, respectively. On Sunday, a variety of children's
activities will kick off at 5 p.m., with a closing performance at 6 p.m.
conducted by Confessore.
