Throughout the month of April, Joe’s Crab Shack team members from its 130+
locations nationwide worked tirelessly to help raise awareness and funds for
Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization.
Together with its guests, the national seafood restaurant raised more than
$1,035,000 for the organization through in-restaurant donations, online
donations and sales of Joe’s specially made “Light It Up Blue” tie-dye
T-shirts.

“As a restaurant company that is deeply committed to giving back to our
communities, we are thankful to partner with Autism Speaks and help raise
awareness nationwide for this worthy cause,” said Joe’s Crab Shack President
Jim Mazany. “The success of this month’s fundraiser was a real testament to
the commitment of Joe’s team, friends and, especially, Joe’s raving fans who
gave so generously to the cause.”

This is Joe’s Crab Shack’s first national partnership with Autism Speaks,
although some local restaurants held fundraisers in 2012 for the organization.

Always a champion of kids and families, Joe’s has raised more than $2 million
for national charities in the past year. The brand is also a proud supporter
and national partner of Share Our Strength. Together with its guests, Joe’s
raised more than $1 million last September during the organization’s No Kid
Hungry® campaign to end childhood hunger.
