Enstep Technology CEO, Brett Passmore, announced his company, a Houston
managed service provider, has included a Hardware as a Service (HaaS) solution
as a viable option for an increasing number of SMB’s with rumors of Dell’s
possible privatization.

Michael Dell and private equity partner, Silver Lake, are hinting that they
plan to take the Austin-based company private in a $24.4 billion leveraged
buyout.

“The future of Dell is uncertain with a big move like going private. If they

Hardware as a Service (HaaS) is a procurement process similar to software
licensing, but with computer and network hardware instead. Generally speaking,
a managed service provider remotely monitors and administers hardware on a
client's site on a subscription basis.

need for new equipment and operating systems and its effect on their budget.
With a flat monthly fee for equipment and warranty service, we eliminate large
capital outlays and allow IT equipment costs and related maintenance services
