tier-one provider and innovator of optical communications and laser solutions,
today announced the introduction of the HL63153AT product, a red laser diode
which delivers a 150 mW single-transverse-mode optical output power at a
wavelength of 638 nm. The Oclaro HL63153AT laser diode offers a more brilliant
image display over previous versions, enabling high-lumen pico projector or
miniature displays for personal computers, and other mobile devices such as
smartphones, gaming, and digital cameras, making it possible to project a
bright image of multimedia and information content anytime, anywhere.

The HL63153AT laser diode offers the highest single-transverse-mode optical
output power at a red wavelength available on the market, with 25% more power
than its predecessor. This technology breakthrough was accomplished by
developing new processes including an optimized waveguide structure and
fine-tuning the laser device structural parameters. This leap in performance
enables customers to deliver enhanced image brightness, which is a key enabler
for the development of the laser-based display market.

The HL63153AT laser diode has a low power consumption of 0.6 W at 150 mW
optical output power, operates in the 638 nm wavelength range, and comes in a
very small, 3.8 mm-diameter TO industry-standard package facilitating very
compact integration.
