G4S Canada introduces new fleet tracking system

TORONTO, May 8, 2013 /CNW/ - G4S Canada is pleased to announce that we have
completed integration with BSM Technologies Inc., a leading provider of remote
monitoring, fleet management, fleet diagnostics and automated vehicle security
systems, using the Sentinel FM asset tracking solution. Under the terms of the
agreement, BSM will provide Sentinel FM units for the entire G4S Cash
Solutions fleet of vehicles.
This solution provides G4S with a fully redundant advanced vehicle and
personnel security application, ensuring efficiency and safety for armored
vehicles and their cargo, as well as their operators, whether in the vehicle,
on the street, or in client premises. The BSM application and in-vehicle units
operate on any of the major data networks, with built-in satellite redundancy
integrated into G4S's existing vehicle computing system and remote alarming
technology. This solution will allow G4S National Control Centre personnel to
access real-time fleet location and vehicle status, 24 hours a day, seven days
a week, from central and remote locations.
"This national project for our vehicles represents an investment in the
protection of our employees and our customers' valuables," said Bill
Henderson, COO of G4S Canada. "As market leaders, we are always looking for
technologies that assist with our focus on providing proper equipment for our
staff and enable us to continue to provide excellent service to our customers.
This combined offering will make an excellent contribution to our extensive
portfolio of industry-leading solutions."
"This contract with G4S speaks to the quality of our tracking solutions and
our dedication to meeting our customers' demands," said Aly Rahemtulla,
President and CEO of BSM Technologies. "It is a fitting endorsement from
Canada's largest security services provider to choose BSM to manage their
employees' and fleet's safety and security by using our real-time asset
tracking solution."
