Capstead Mortgage Corporation Announces Public Offering of Series E Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock Business Wire DALLAS -- May 8, 2013 Capstead Mortgage Corporation (NYSE: CMO) (“Capstead” or the “Company”) today announced its plans to make a public offering of shares of its Series E Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock (the “Series E Preferred Stock”). The Company intends to list the Series E Preferred Stock on the NYSE under the symbol “CMOPRE.” The Company intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase additional shares of Series E Preferred Stock to cover over-allotments, if any. Capstead intends to use the net proceeds from this offering, together with cash on hand as necessary and deemed prudent, to redeem all or a portion of the Company’s outstanding Series A Preferred Stock and Series B Preferred Stock.
