  Digestive Health of Many American Women Not Making the Grade

  Survey finds many American women feel they could do more to maintain their
                               digestive health

A recent survey found that most women are interested in knowing more about how
their digestive system works, but many feel uncomfortable discussing the
issue. The survey, from Prevention, in partnership with Procter & Gamble’s
Align^®, asked American women about their digestive health, exploring topics
including digestive balance, familiarity with the digestive system in general,
and knowledge of probiotics.

Key findings indicate that struggling to maintain digestive balance is common
among women surveyed:

  *38% of women feel they could do more to maintain their digestive health
  *Nearly 1 in 5 (17%) say digestive health is constantly on their minds
  *74% of women are interested in knowing more about how their digestive
    system works, but almost half surveyed (49%) believe that digestive health
    is a taboo subject people are uncomfortable discussing
