Just in time for Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Rite Aid (NYSE: RAD) is offering
free full-body skin cancer screenings to thousands as the presenting sponsor
of The Skin Cancer Foundation's annualRoad to Healthy Skin Tour. Now in its
sixth year, the Tour brings local dermatologists out into the community to
provide potentially life-saving skin cancer screenings.

Beginning May 14 and running through August, the Tour’s customized 38-foot
recreational vehicle will wind its way across the country enlisting volunteer
dermatologists to provide full-body screenings from the comfort of one of the
RV's two private exam rooms. The Tour also aims to raise skin cancer awareness
and educate about the importance of prevention and early detection.

"Skin cancers found and removed early are almost always curable. That’s why
The Skin Cancer Foundation recommends that everyone visit a dermatologist
annually for a professional skin exam in addition to practicing monthly

Since 2008, the Road to Healthy Skin Tour has detected nearly 7,000  suspected
cancers and precancers, including  nearly 300  cases of melanoma. Over its six
years, the Tour has traveled more than 100,000 miles crisscrossing the United
States on its mission to promote easy access to 10-minute screenings that can
literally save lives.

Because the Tour is both free and open to all, visitors are advised to arrive
early to reserve a screening available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Visitors will also receive educational materials explaining how to perform
monthly skin checks at home, how to protect the skin against sun on a daily
basis, along with sunscreen samples and other giveaways.
