  Travelers Recognized for its Commitment to Diversity

         Named One of DiversityInc’s 25 Noteworthy Companies for 2013

DiversityInc magazine recently named Travelers one of 25 Noteworthy Companies
in recognition of its diversity and inclusion efforts. Travelers was chosen
from more than 893 participating companies based on an annual survey that
measures CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate and Organizational
Communications, and Supplier Diversity.

Highlights of Travelers’ Commitment to Diversity:

  *Travelers partners with a number of diverse professional organizations
    including INROADS, The Posse Foundation, the National Black MBA
    Association and the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and
    Accounting. The company has also implemented various initiatives focused
    on the development and progression of women and people of color.
  *The company has launched seven employee-led diversity networks focused on
    fostering the attraction, retention and development of all Travelers
    employees, many of whom are engaged by the company’s leaders to influence
    business strategy. More than 3,500 employees have joined at least one of
    the diversity networks to date, a participation rate that is more than
    double what most employers see in the first five years following the
    implementation of similar groups.
  *Each of Travelers’ more than 30,000 employees is required to attend a
    live, half-day diversity education training program to examine their
    personal biases and engage in learning strategies to become diversity
    change agents.
  *Travelers launched its signature education program, Travelers EDGE:
    Empowering Dreams for Graduation and Employment to increase the number of
    underrepresented individuals who complete a bachelor's degree and are
    prepared for a career at Travelers or within the Insurance and Financial
    Services industry. The program was recently lauded by the Pell Institute
    as a “model” on the “cutting edge of college access and success support.”
