Open Networking Foundation:

WHO: The Open Networking Foundation (ONF) Executive Director Dan Pitt will
co-present a keynote entitled, “The State of the Movement of SDN, OpenFlow,
and ONF” at Interop Las Vegas 2013.

WHEN: The session will be presented in the networking track on May 8, 2013 at
2:30 – 3:30 p.m. PDT.

WHERE: The presentation will be held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, in
Lagoon H, during Interop Las Vegas 2013.

WHAT: During the session, Pitt will highlight how ONF is bringing the benefits
of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) to users and operators worldwide. With
ONF evolving from a stable OpenFlow™ protocol base, the organization is
turning its attention to a number of other important aspects of SDN that bring
real value to users. The talk will also highlight how ONF is building the
OpenFlow substrate to meet market needs, including the OpenFlow protocol,
configuration, management and security, and transport. Pitt will highlight
several topics relating to the movement of SDN, the OpenFlow protocol, and
ONF:

1. Why SDN is fundamentally important to the evolution of the networking
industry

2. Details about the Open Source OpenFlow Driver competition

3. What the OpenFlow protocol really is and where it is essential

4. Examples of SDN deployments by ONF member companies
