just looking for a short-term summer job?  CareerBuilder Canada and Economic 
Modeling Specialists International have released a list of occupations that 
are hiring temporary workers at an accelerated rate, in a variety of 
industries. 
"With half of the employers saying they plan to hire temporary or contract 
workers sometime in 2013, it is imperative that staffing and recruiting firms 
be part of everyone's job search strategy," said Ross Levadi, Director,

temporary positions are just that, temporary, but nearly two in five employers 
say they plan to transition their temporary workers into full time roles 
sometime this year."

    --  Information Systems Analysts and Consultants
        o Number of people employed: 1,777
        o Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 541 – 44 percent growth
        o Median hourly wage: $34.83
    --  Banking, Insurance, and Other Financial Clerks
        o Number of people employed: 540
        o Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 163 – 43 percent growth
        o Median hourly wage: $17.32
    --  Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance Labourers
        o Number of people employed: 1,369
        o Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 399 – 41 percent growth
        o Median hourly wage: $14.52
    --  Purchasing and Inventory Clerks
        o Number of people employed: 828
        o Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 238 – 40 percent growth
        o Median hourly wage: $18.68
    --  Records Management and Filing Clerks
        o Number of people employed: 1,372
        o Jobs added from 2010 to 2012: 357 – 35 percent growth
